What Is CJC-1295?

CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) that stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone (GH). It comes in two forms: CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) and CJC-1295 without DAC (also called Modified GRF 1-29 or Mod GRF).

The DAC version binds to albumin in the bloodstream, dramatically extending its half-life to approximately 8 days and creating a sustained elevation of growth hormone. The no-DAC version (Mod GRF 1-29) has a short half-life of about 30 minutes and produces sharp, pulsatile GH release that more closely mimics natural physiology. It is most commonly paired with a GHRP (growth hormone releasing peptide) like ipamorelin for synergistic effects.

Important: CJC-1295 has not been approved by the FDA for general consumer use. The information on this page is for educational and research purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before using any peptide.

How to Reconstitute CJC-1295

CJC-1295 comes as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder that must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use. The process is standard for all peptides:

CJC-1295 Side Effects

Understanding potential side effects helps you use cjc-1295 more safely. Most side effects are dose-dependent and may improve over time.

How to Store CJC-1295

Before reconstitution: Store lyophilized (powder) cjc-1295 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration is ideal for long-term storage of unreconstituted peptides.

After reconstitution: Store the reconstituted vial upright in a refrigerator at 36-46°F (2-8°C). Do not freeze. The solution typically remains stable for 4-6 weeks. Always swab the vial stopper with an alcohol pad before each use.

CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin Stack Protocol

The most popular CJC-1295 protocol combines it with ipamorelin at equal doses. A standard stack looks like:

The pre-bed dose is the most important as it synergizes with your body's natural nighttime GH pulse. Each peptide is drawn from its own reconstituted vial into the same syringe for a single injection. CJC-1295 FAQ

Should I use CJC-1295 with DAC or without DAC?+
CJC-1295 without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29) is generally preferred because it produces natural pulsatile GH release similar to your body's own rhythm. The DAC version creates a constant GH elevation which is less physiological. No-DAC is almost always combined with ipamorelin for best results. See our CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin stack guide.
Why combine CJC-1295 with ipamorelin?+
CJC-1295 (GHRH analog) stimulates GH production while ipamorelin (GHRP) stimulates GH release. Together, they produce a significantly larger and cleaner GH pulse than either alone. The combination is often called the 'gold standard' GH peptide stack because ipamorelin does not significantly raise cortisol or prolactin.
When is the best time to inject CJC-1295?+
For the no-DAC version, the most important dose is 30 minutes before bed on an empty stomach (no food for 2+ hours). This amplifies your natural nighttime GH pulse. Additional doses can be taken first thing in the morning (fasted) and post-workout. Avoid injecting within 2 hours of eating, as insulin blunts GH release.
How long does it take to see results from CJC-1295?+
Improved sleep quality is often noticed within the first 1-2 weeks. Fat loss and recovery benefits typically become apparent at 4-8 weeks. Skin and hair improvements may take 8-12 weeks. Results are cumulative and gradual.
Do I need to cycle CJC-1295?+
Most protocols recommend cycling GH peptides to prevent receptor desensitization. A common approach is 8-12 weeks on, 4 weeks off. Some users run the no-DAC version continuously at lower frequencies without cycling, but this is debated.
